Castello Bianco is an attractive 3-star hotel in Platanes, 5 km from Rethymno. 400 meters from the hotel is one of the best sandy beaches of the island. In the vicinity of the hotel, within walking distance, guests can find supermarkets, shops and taverns. Starting from the winter of 2016 until 2019, the hotel undergoes a major overhaul and reconstruction. The rooms of the hotel, renovated during this period, have modern design, high-quality furniture and bedding, an equipped kitchen (in the apartments), free toiletries, and furnished balconies or terraces. A new modern glass pool was built with a children's section with a protective fence for security. The new restaurant offers a rich and improved buffet breakfast, traditional Greek dishes and Mediterranean dishes à la carte for lunch and dinner. The new pool bar serves all kinds of drinks, cocktails, fresh juices, ice cream and snacks throughout the day. A small store was built, selling local delicacies such as olive oil, raki, as well as biological cosmetics and sunscreen products made from local herbs and plants. The common areas were renovated and the modernization and renovation of the hotel’s gardens began. By the season of 2019, it is expected to open a fitness room, whose services will be provided free of charge.
